Phnom Penh to Battambang included Kampong Luong Floating village
We leave Phnom Penh the capital of Cambodia and travel to the province of Battambang, the second most populous city and a popular tourist destination. The journey goes to west pass through the city of Kampong Chhnang, is a province famous for producing traditional Khmer pottery, a craft that has been passed down from generation to generation for over 1000 years. The province is predominantly rural, with the main industries being lake and river fishing, and agriculture.
Before arriving Battambang, there is the chance to pause at Kampong Luong, a very peaceful and relaxing floating village on the Tonle Sap Lake. The village offers the opportunity to discover the daily life of Cambodian families on lake. People live in floating houses with a constant movement of boats bringing people and goods to the village.
