Siem Reap to Kratie via Rubber Plantations
Sit back and relax as we drive you through the provinces and regions of Cambodia. We leave Siem Reap and travel east and then south on national road number 6 to Kampong Kdei, this was an ancient Angkor route that we can see one of the ancient Angkor bridges built in the 12th century. Spean Praptos or local resident called Dragon Bridge, it has over 20 arches and is a spectacular sight, reinforcing the impression that the Khmers were like the Romans of Southeast Asia.
Our road trip continues to Kampong Thom, the second largest central province of Cambodia and to Kampong Cham where it is possible to visit rubber plantations. Kampong Cham was the heartland of the Cambodian rubber industry.
