We leave Siem Reap at your desired time and travel east and then south on national road number 6 to Kampong Kdei, this was an ancient Angkor route that we can see one of the ancient Angkor bridges built in the 12th century. Our road trip continues to Kampong Thom, the second largest central province of Cambodia and to Kampong Cham where it is possible to take a break in Skuon, affectionately nicknamed Spiderville Cambodia, the popular place for Cambodian and foreign travelers where it is possible to taste the local delicacy of fried tarantula and other fried insects. We make a short stop to explore this market in Spider Town, you can also try various seasonal local fruits from the region and the Mekong Islands. However, if you don’t want to taste spider, cricket, scorpion, grasshopper or other insects, this is also a good place to take pictures.
